April 5, 2016 Premiere of Selections from Longitude Opera

Poet Carol Ann Johnston and Pound give a presentation on the development of their opera inspired by Dava Sobel’s book Longitude and based on John Harrison’s development of the first marine chronometer, which first made the measurement of longitude measurable at sea.  Baritone Jonathan Hays and pianist Craig Ketter will perform scenes from the work.
